In Lord of the Rings: War in the North, you are part of a small group of warriors who combat the forces of evil in the northern reaches of Middle-Earth. It takes its name from the fact that it is often used by dwarves as an emergency ration. While it is edible it tastes perfectly foul. Morthond - Black Root A dark, many-lobed tuber. If it wasn't for the game's graphics, combat and connection to the Lord of the Rings franchise, I would've given it a failing score.Below is given the title of each consumable, available as well as the added effects. Its just not a very good game, and I cannot recommend you buy it. It goes from easy, to insanely hard, to easy. Instead of placing visible barriers, you will constantly hit invisible walls when playing. There is no character development (there doesn't need to be, but in this case, it couldn't hurt), barely any unique story, and the coding is sub par. The english characters of the franchise are voiced by American voice actors, which I find to be unacceptable. It started off strong, with great graphics and good combat. But, I was very disappointed with this game. My dad got me any and all the Lord of the Rings video games out there, and let me tell you, I loved all of em. This game will please LOTR fans, but unfortunately it will not make any new LOTR fans. I payed $20 for the game, and I feel like I got what I payed for out of it, but no more. I had no issues with bugs like some of the other guys. I actually found some of the voice acting pretty lame at times, but it was average on the whole, I suppose. The three playable characters have different play styles which can accommodate most players But it's still just a hack&slash. Equipment management is pretty lacking, with a rather unfriendly equipment interface. The game play is a classic hack&slash with little variation. That being said, the story is very linear, and the same should be said about the levels. Accurate and interesting LOTR lore is what kept me wanting to play. This game is great for RPG'ers that love getting into the nitty-gritty when it comes to learning about other characters and lore of the game. ![]()
